EMIE is an European network, gathering all organizations and players from civil society concerned with non-state (independent, private) education. Meeting together since 2002, EMIE at the appropriate time took an active part in the drafting of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union.
The purpose of the annual meeting is to enhance communication and sharing of good practices from European stakeholders, which cooperate in advocating the Freedom of Education and the Freedom of Parental Choice as fundamental rights of the citizens of the European Union and the whole of Europe.
The 2023 EMIE meeting will take place in Brussels the 31st of May, from 12:00 to 13:30.
The Seminar “The role of Independent Schools in the future of Europe: Contribution of independent schools to engagement, well-being and achievement for all”, hosted by MEP Nuno Melo (EPP), will take place in Brussels the 31st of May, from 16:30 to 18:00, at the European Parliament in Brussels.
